Laccolith

This is a Laccolith located in Montana.

A Laccolith is a mass of igneous rock intruded between layers of sedimentary rocks resulting in uplift.
Laccoliths tend to form at shallow depths and are typically formed by relatively viscous magmas.

  1. This laccolith is exposed on the surface due to erosion of the land around it.
