ISLAND ARCS!?

An island arc is composed of a chain of volcanoes which alignment is arc-shaped, and which are situated parallel and close to a boundary between two converging tectonic plates. It makes volcanoes so it can cause harm to a city if it is close enough to it. It could be in the water or on land. Its caused by subduction because Volcanoes are always caused by Subduction. dun dun dun duhhh.

  1. Good map and post. Island arcs must be in the ocean or they wouldn't be islands :)
Most cone shaped volcanoes are formed from subduction except on hot spots.
