Eutriphication is the build up of algae. It fertilizes bodies of water with nitrogen and phosphorus. It creates major changes in plant and animal populations. It also degrades water and habitat quality :( Ways you can prevent eutriphication is to STOP USING SO MANY CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS WHEN GARDENING! ... or around a body of water.
