Biomass is an alternative energy source that is used. Its benefits are that it can provide energy by burning waste from trees and other things, which in turn provide steam and energy to power things. Drawbacks of biomass are that it contributes little to our overall energy resources, and is not efficient enough for us to solely rely on.
