The desert biome is home to some of the most interesting plants and animals, and they have some succesful adaptions to help the survive the dry heat.
The Gila Moster, which is a 1-2 foot venemous lizard, has a thick tail that is filled with mainly fatty tissue. However, when it rains this lizard stores water in its tail, that can be consumed in times of drought.
Many plants also use this teqnique by storing large amounts of water in their leaves. Most cactus's do this, and as a result can last for long amounts of time without rain.
