The image on the left is an image of a Barchan, a barchan is formed through sand being blown and ccumlulated around a protruding desert feature such as a bush or small desert plant life. The sand is blown around it continually and it eventually fans out and creates the arch feature you see here. This is a depositional desert feature you see here. This feature is often found in groups and very rarely by themselves depending on the the amount of desert protrusions and the wind direction.
