Post # 5 Mass Wasting (Landslide)



This is an image of a landslide, a landslide is a devestating mass wasting event. It is when mud and rock and debris flow down a hillside. Landslides are caused often by heavy rainfall, loose land, lack of vegetation and human development of the land. This is one of the most devastating mass wasting events that causes the most loss of life, collateral damge and can stretch for severeal kilometres.
